What is "Identity"?
What shapes identity? How does identity make each person in the world unique? Why is every person different? It is one of those questions where nobody could answer with a definite, factual answer. Most people would respond with an expression of disinterest: “Because God made it so.” So why did he make everybody so unique? Why did he even bother to do so?
From a scientific perspective, each person is unique with a unique set of DNA. No person can have the EXACT same set of DNA in his or her blood (unless we are talking about a duplicate, a clone). Even twins, though their appearances can sometimes be hardly distinguishable, their DNA’s are completely different in some parts. In some situations, say a criminal court, a person’s fingerprint is analyzed to find out if that person is really the culprit of the case. Identity can be used in different ways (in this case, it’s used to determine the particular delinquent). It can be used as a mean to express or describe a person from the conformity.
But aside from DNA’s, there are several more aspects of identity. Age, gender, experience, past memories, profession, personality, etc. can shape the “form” of a person altogether. A human without those is somebody who cannot exist in the physical world. This human would most likely exist in a private atmosphere of one’s imagination. Yet, such people can exist, though it would be nearly impossible to describe them to another person. A perfect example of what the entire world knows is: God.
How would you describe Him?
If you believe that you have described him:
Do you have any evidence or fact that your description is correct?
